Department: Market Operations 

Title of position: Customer Advocate 

Position functions: The Customer Advocate role is a unique combination of a few different things but long story short, you’ll be the face of Carvana. Since Carvana’s purchase process is entirely online, meeting you to receive their newly purchased vehicle will likely be the first time a customer has met a Carvana employee face-to-face! You’ll have the freedom to go above and beyond to ensure our customers have an experience that doesn’t suck and is completely one of a kind. 

Preferred skills/min requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred  

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past 3 years

Department: Inspection Centers (Vehicle Reconditioning) 

Title of position: Entry-Level Inventory Associates, and Automotive Technicians, Auto Body/Paint Professionals of all levels

Location of position: 6508 FW Marks Drive Greenfield, IN 46140

Position functions:

  • Inventory Associates
    • As an Inventory Associate you will have the opportunity to work in the detail, inventory, or photobooth department at one of our Inspection Centers. 
      • Wash and physically clean vehicles that are going through the reconditioning process.
      • Ensure vehicle inventory accuracy
      • Facilitate the reconditioning process by moving vehicles from one department to the next.
      • Properly handle Carvana photography equipment to take photographs of vehicles 
    • Qualifying candidates must love helping people, enjoy being part of a team, and possess the drive to help achieve superior customer satisfaction. 
    • They must be goal-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization at the Inspection Center.
    • No experience required
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Must have a valid Driver’s License 
    • Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and potentially a complete MVR record search
  • Automotive Technicians (Entry-level to Master Certified)
    • As an Automotive Technician you will have the opportunity to drive the customer 

you will be responsible for ensuring our vehicles have been properly reconditioned and meet Carvana vehicle quality standards, performing maintenance or repairs as needed.

  • Perform technician services such as routine inspections/maintenance (other than timing belts)
  • Complete lube, oil, filter, and fluid flushes/exchanges
  • Perform basic repair for brake pads/calipers, tires, tire installations, and wheel alignments
  • Complete light diagnostic work for vehicle preventative maintenance
  • Auto Body/Paint Professionals (all experience levels)
    • You will be an important member of our reconditioning process to ensure our vehicles are free of cosmetic defects and are ready to be photographed in order to be presented on our website for our customers to view.
    • Buffing and finishing vehicles
    • Tear down and reassembly
    • Grinding, sanding and preparing panels for paint
    • Wipe down, tape, mask and bag vehicle
    • Mix and spray paint and clean spray guns
    • Spray primer and apply light body filler
    • Minor body repair

Full-time position 

1st Shift 6:00am - 2:45pm M-F

2nd Shift 3:30pm - 2:15am M-Th

Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs

Title of position: Part Time Virtual Customer Advocate (work from home) 

Location of position: anywhere in the state of Indianapolis

Position functions: The Customer Advocate Team is responsible for guiding customers through their vehicle financing process, collecting documents necessary for purchase completion, while also protecting against data breaches and fraudulent activity. Auto loans can be confusing and complicated--our team simplifies the process and ensures our customers are set up for success. This is a part-time phone-based position (25 to 30 hours/week).

An Intermediate Truck/Trailer/ Diesel Technician, that will keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. Your main goal is to ensure our fleet of transporters are always available. As part of this role you will be ensuring all preventative maintenance and general repairs are completed in a timely manner and up to Carvana standards. The qualifying candidate must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, goal-oriented, energetic, they must enjoy helping people, and must have the ability to interact/ communicate with all levels of the organization.

Preferred skills, min requirements:

  • 1+ year in Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry or experience in similar industry
  • One ASE Certification within the first 6 months of employment

Title of position: Loader/Unloader, Vehicle Transport

  • Load and unload 5 to 9 vehicle trailers, loading the vehicles onto hauler trailers or trucks in accordance with drop points on delivery routes
  • Perform routine inspections and record any damage to vehicles before and after loading

This will include conducting onsite lot counts and maintaining our inventory control systems.
