Coral Springs, FL -- A snake slithered out of a toilet in Florida and bit a man’s arm over the Memorial Day weekend, a local report said Tuesday.
The ball python bit the 52-year-old man after he lifted up the toilet seat in his Coral Springs apartment, the Sun Sentinel reported, citing a police report of the incident.
The snake, which is nonvenomous, did not belong to the man and police were not sure how it ended up in his toilet, according to the report.
The man was treated by medics at the scene and the snake was taken to a veterinarian’s office, the Sun Sentinel reported.
A police spokesperson told the newspaper that the snake could have belonged to a former tenant of the apartment or could have ended up in the building’s plumbing system some other way.
