A woman in her 70’s is accused of taking her methamphetamine to the doctor to be tested shortly after she became worried about the drug’s effect on her.
Barbara Lee Ray, 73, of Polk County, Fla., asked her doctor to run tests on the meth because she was concerned the effects were doing her harm, the Miami Herald reported.
Ray said she had been using the drug for about a month.
Authorities say she went to Complete Care Family Medicine Associates in early November to have the drug tested. They complied with the request and the test came back positive. This is where the real trouble started!
Ray was arrested and booked into the Polk County jail on two counts of possession of methamphetamine and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released two days after visiting the doctor.
The investigation is ongoing.
