I first walked into Papa Roux’s restaurant about 10 years ago. I had been hearing about it from people in the neighborhood and finally gave it a try. One bite of the pork Po Boy and I was hooked. I became so fascinated with the additive nature of the flavor; I even stopped in New Orleans once to see if all Cajun food was Papas equal. It wasn’t! It was simply put, a great family recipe served in a family style atmosphere.
And now the headline-making restaurant is closing its 10th and Post Rd. doors after 11 years. Papa Roux announced its last day will be Oct. 14th.
