Robert Wickens Thanks IndyCar Community From Hospital Bed

IndyCar driver Robert Wickens has a message for all of the IndyCar Community just an hour from the conclusion of the year... the final race at Sonoma Raceway.

Wickens was seriously injured after a frightening, multicar crash in the ABC Supply 500 race Sunday at Pocono Raceway on Sunday August 19th.

Wickens suffered “orthopedic injuries,” according to IndyCar, and a pulmonary contusion, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Wickens was taken by helicopter to Lehigh Valley-Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown, Pa., with a fractured spine, injuries to his lower extremities and right arm.
