Aretha Franklin's Casket Made Right Here In Indiana

The casket Aretha Franklin will be laid to rest in is one of Indiana’s own. The Promethean casket is solid bronze with 14K gold hardware. (handles Ect) It is the same casket model desired and used by the families of Michael Jackson and James Brown.

Reports say The Batesville Casket Company (Batesville Indiana) has confirmed that they are the coffin manufacturer who provided the casket for the Queen of Souls funeral to be held this Friday in Detroit, Michigan.

The company calls it the “gold standard” of caskets because of its shiny mirror finish and took 150 hours to construct and hand polish. It is made of 48 ounces of bronze.
