Small Plane Engine Failure On Take Off

It’s a pilot’s worst nightmare. And I should know, I’ve been a pilot for over twenty years.

Everything looks great after you do the pre-flight inspection. It’s all a green light after the rundown of the pre-takeoff check list. You are ready to kick the tires and light the fires!

You roll down the runway to a typical lift off speed of 65 knots (APROX 75MPH) and off you go!  Then it happens. 200 feet above ground you engine stops. You are too low to return to the airfield and have no choice to stick it where you can find a place to land.

You can absolutely feel this pilot during the crisis.

If you want to get to the action fast scroll in to 1:40 but I would suggest taking the entire 4 minute ride.
