Colts OC Gives Players Written Tests About Offense

POP quiz time for the Indianapolis Colts!

A way to keep last year from occurring again is to CHANGE EVERYTHING! Colts fans applaud.   This is an offensive team so all this makes sense! The Colts players are now being “schooled” — quite literally — on their team’s new offense.

Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni is implementing a new offense, and to ensure that the players know “what’s up”, he’s actually giving them written tests to ensure that they’re getting everything.

“What I feel like it does, it forces them to study,” Sirianni said, via Mike Wells of ESPN. “It forces them to study even a little bit more than they would. They’re prideful guys that want to be right.

As fans, we couldn’t agree more. No more 2017 seasons!

Players are quizzed on what other players are doing as well as their own responsibilities to ensure that the playbook is being studied and thoroughly understood.

Here’s the big motivator: Scores are posted publicly! And receiver Ryan Grant says that’s fine by him!

“I got a 96 and the craziest thing is, I missed the easiest one on the test,” Grant said. “They post [the scores]. Everything is competitive. Behind the scenes [we clown about the scores]. We don’t do it in front of everybody.”

We are all looking forward to a great new Colts offense this season… especially if Andrew Luck ends up throwing a football at some point.
