Indianapolis flight To Myrtle Beach Makes Emergency landing

A flight from Indianapolis to Myrtle Beach Sunday afternoon had to make an emergency landing.

Allegiant Flight 1878 took off at 3 p.m. was cut short, landing at Asheville Regional Airport in North Carolina after flight staff smelled what an airline spokesperson described as an "electrical odor."

A second plane was sent to Asheville to pick up the passengers.  Travelers boarded the new flight if no other issues arise, should land around 10:30 ET, roughly six hours after passengers were supposed to get there.  No word yet what caused the electrical odor.
