Two People From Hancock County Indiana Killed In Plane Crash

As a licensed pilot for over 20 years, and a lifelong resident of Hancock County, this really hits home. My thoughts are going out to the family and the aviation community as a whole.  – Don Stuck

First responders and aviation crash authorities say two Indiana residents died when their single-engine airplane crashed in South Boardman, Michigan.

The victims of the Friday plane crash were identified as Thomas Wolfe and Mary Wolfe. The relationship of the two was not given.

Reports say the Wolfes were from Hancock County, which Hancock Regional Hospital confirmed.

The plane crashed on private property without hitting any houses or other structures.

Reports say that Thomas Wolfe was flying the plane. The cause of the crash wasn't immediately known. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating. Photo credit WPBN NEWS.
