What a day yesterday. I was called to be at the courthouse by 8 a.m. Free Parking for jurors in the Denniston Building near the City County Building. It was a tremendous amount of WAITING. Only to find out they had their 12 jurors although I was one of four alternates and they only needed two. You may remember back in 2017 when a baby was found dead after CPS had made a visit to the home that very day. Well the parents were both arrested a year later. She chose to plead guilty and was sentenced to 7 years back in April of this year. He is the one on trial right now in Marion County. I don't know whatever become of the CPS workers in this case. I believe one was suspended for five days for not following protocol in contacting the authorities when she spotted the baby that day and said something about her appearance. I have yet to see any news coverage of this story. It dominated our news cycle in Indianapolis back when it happened. I hope there is justice for the baby Ruth Moss, and my thoughts are with those families and yes the jurors.
